Native to Australia, the eucalytus was planted rapidly in the subtropical regions of Asia and the Mediterranean basin. The aboriginals used the eucalyptus leaves to treat fever and different other ailments. In the XIXth century, the essential oil of eucalyptus was used to desinfect urinary catheders in english hospitals. Nowadays, it is used in tooth pastes, various pharmaceutical preparations intended to different affections of the respiratory tract and for endodontic solvents used in dentistry. There are about 600 differnets species of eucalyptus. The best known are : Eucalyptus globulus, Eucalyptus camaldulensis, Eucalyptus citriodora, Eucalyptus radiata, Eucalyptus regnns and Eucalyptus smithii.

 

Traditionally known for its properties :

anticatarrhal, expectorant • antitussive • antiviral, immune stimulant • antibacterial • antiinflammatory • energizer, neurotonic.

Special precautions :

- Keep out of reach of young children.
- Unless medical or pharmaceutical advice, not to use during the pregnancy and breast feeding and in the child of less than 3 years.
- Keep out of heat and light.
EXTERNAL USE

Professional advice:

External : 2 or 3 drops on the thorax, the back and the soles. To be repeted, if necessary. To protect you from winter agressions, use the oil in synergy with Mandravasarotra, in ultrasonic diffusion for approx. 20 minutes every 3 heures.
