Geranium, egyptian - Pelargonium x asperum

Aromatic molecules : Citronellol, geraniol

Only a few of the over 500 species of geranium are used in aromatherapy. It is cultivated in Madagascar, La Réunion, Guinea and Algeria. The mild and smooth or stronger perfumes of some species explain their frequent use in perfumery and cosmetology.

 

Traditionally known for its properties :

effective antibacterial • powerful fungicide • remarkable hemostatic • analgesic • anti-inflammatory • tonic skin astringent.

Special precautions :

- Keep out of reach of young children.
- Does not replace a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
- Do not exceed the recommended dose.
- Unless medical or pharmaceutical advice, not to use during the pregnancy and breast feeding and in the child of less than 3 years.
- Keep out of heat and light.

Professional advice:

External : use as local ointment for several weeks of 2 drops CTEO and 2 drops hazelnut oil.
