Cajaput or cajaput tree is an aromatic tree native to India with a white removable bark, The name 'Cajuput' comes from the Malay and means 'white tree', This big, strong and robust tree grows - in its wild form - in the Far East, in Indonesia and in Australia, It belongs to the Melaleuca species and the family of the Myrtaceae, a family of trees and plants which are useful in aromatherapy, The cajaput is similar to the tea-tree and the niaouli, but is simpler to use because its esstial oil is rather soft.
